Osho Zen Tarot, Padma, St. Martin’s Press 1994
This February, Aries influenced individuals are going to need to use the energy of the ram to intentionally forge a path into greater awareness about their limitations and need for support.
We start with the “lift-off” card, Ice-olation. It can be tempting for us to isolate ourselves when we are focused on trailblazing a path to greatness. Isolation keeps us from getting distracted, but It can also be a defense mechanism to protect us from disappointment. Well Aries, that’s a risk you’ll need to take this month. You are human and you have a need for connection just like anyone else. Use discernment about who you can be vulnerable with and when.
The Miser asks you to stop withholding. Whether it’s energy, time, love or resources, you have a lot to share. Use this month to give what you can and it will help you open up and receive what you need as well.
The Burden card indicates your need to unload something that is weighing on you. More than likely, it is self-inflicted. Look to your support system to assist you with lightening the load this month in areas of emotional distress as well as everyday tasks. If you feel like there’s no one in your life you can trust, connect with your ancestors for guidance and support. It is Black History Month, after all. Pay your respects and give them the opportunity to assist you from the spiritual realm.
Stress comes up warning that if you do not lay some of these burdens down, you will be just like the man on this card, struggling to do too much of everything. Avoid this by putting your pride to the side, asking for help and pacing yourself.
The Beyond Illusion card appears next, telling us that one way or another Aries, you will see things for what they are this month. It could be through wise steps you have taken to get to the truth or life serving you a dose of reality. Either way, February will bring clarity. It’s up to you to use it in your best interest.
The Awareness card comes, solidifying February’s energy of truth and understanding for you. Towards the end of this month after the illusions have shattered, you will have the opportunity to operate from a level of greater awareness as you start to prepare for Spring. Document what you’ve learned so that harmful patterns are cleared.
Lastly, we have the Totality card. This month will end on a good note if you take a cue from the trapeze artists on the card and give your attention to faith & trust. It starts with yourself. Trust your intuition to lead you to the right decisions and the right people. You’ll be able to go further and fly higher if you do.

Strength | 9 of Pentacles Rx | 4 of Cups
Taurus! You’ve been putting in that WORK and I see you!! There have been some trying times as of late, but you have not let that slow your progress toward independence, safety, and security. This month is all about continuing to grow in your strength, fortitude, and resilience, despite the rotten apples that have been presented to/thrown at you.
The 9 of Pentacles reversed speaks to an internal sense of stability that has been manifested and created by your own sheer will. You are calling the shots, walking your path confidently, and vibrating with an energy that is self-sufficient and powerful.
My Taurus Loves, you are going to be called to focus on self this month. With Strength being ruled by Leo and the Sun, the majority of your active energy that you would normally use to ensure the security of others will be used for yourself without shame or care of judgement. There are still some things that you are working through for yourself and this internal processing will only allow for your ability to continue to ground and grow in your purpose and projected plans.
With this growing period also comes growing pains and the 4 of Cups is alluding to the fact that in the midst of growing and stabilizing yourself internally, you will reach points of stagnation and unease externally. It’s hard working on self while still wanting to enjoy the “high life”. Don’t get discouraged. Instead of staring longingly out the window, wishing you were invited to the party, know that what you are creating for yourself now is what will allow you to BE the life of the party. When you shine from the inside out, nothing externally can dull your sparkle…

Dust II Onyx Tarot by Courtney Alexander – Black & Sage Press
The energy providing guidance this season is the QUEEN MOTHER: Empress of their domain and Maestra of connection. If the knot of unfulfillment has been tightening in your gut consider that you might need to reach for your dreams the way this Empress does. To reach for the stars, Queen Mother lays down on green earth, feels the support of stable ground at their back, lets their feet sink into the earth and root, then and only then do they lift their arms and easily pluck starlight from the sky.
This is not an ease that has always come naturally. Queen Mother’s had to work at it, work at themselves, and redefine what they want and need in terms of what will serve them and their community’s highest good. The Maestra has faced JUDGEMENT and found themselves to be enough. Has looked deeply at their talents and limits and found ways to work them both towards fulfillment. This Queen Mother has acknowledged their ancestral court and let them clear the way behind and before them. They dream big and plan even better, honoring not only their goals but the journey to achieve them. Met all pieces of themselves at the crossroads and made an offering to them for self-love, wisdom, and integration.
And after all this work they know to dance. Queen Mother seeks the joy in the SIX OF WANDS and celebrates freely, embracing passion and joy. Even this doesn’t come easy, for someone so full and mighty and sure of themselves is sure to be tested and tried. By this point, however, they have learned the secret to turning fire thrown at them into fireworks and spotlight that announce their forthcoming victory.

APPRENTICESHIP is a keyword for you this month. You have been bored with going it alone and being left to your own manifesting devices because of results or responses that may have felt unrequited, indifferent, or ineffective. You have put out the signal to the Universe that you want one-on-one guidance and hands-on experience, and because of the potent Full Moon that happened in your sign on New Year’s Day, this month you get it!
This truly feels like “godparent” energy- where there is genuine, nurturing, compassion and understanding between you and another who has had similar life experiences or learned pertinent life lessons that can be shared and applied to your past-present-future circumstances. The things you practice and work to develop at this time will have lasting effects on your career path well into the future. February is also an opportune time for travel for you. Particularly, to places with waterfalls… Canada, Yosemite, Peru, natural hot springs… Stay open for a wild, get-away adventure to spruce up the drab “all work no play” energy that you perhaps have been feeling for a bit. The only caution for you this month is not to get too caught up in the emotional upswing. You will need to keep a level and just head to execute those responsible decision-making skills that you’ve been learning, as that will have an impact and leave an imprint on your legacy. A couple of questions to pose and weigh when making up your mind: Will this matter to me in 5 years? What might my great-great, grandchildren inherit from this experience? And these are not to scare you or deter you from doing one thing or another, but rather to give you pause upon which to consider. Worst-case scenario, you will have one hell of a story to tell, my love. Bless.

The Mesquite Tarot 2017
My legacy is that I stayed on course… from the beginning to the end, because I believed in something inside of me.
Theme | How to work it
Persistence | Perspective
Darkness is alive in us. With our attention, we animate the shadows in our lives and make of ourselves fodder for fear. We are compost, prey consumed. And then, we are apart of a legacy of those who know risk, darkness, and death, and dare anyway.
We are both sides of Strength. There is, in every problem an opportunity to recognize the power needed to persist and the potential to do what’s needed. This month is about that kind of opportunity.
Touching the shadow(Strength) means recognizing it as us. The Strength card is home base for warrior Leos and Leo-affiliated. It’s also the card of survivors. Survival often seems like a surface matter, the food, the shelter, etc. It goes beyond that. Deeper than the initial adrenaline burst and its counterpart, the animal-like intuitive response.
We survive by believing what we need to keep going, in ourselves, others, in ideas. We cling to fears, deny them, we play up certain emotions and downplay others. Survival is about whatever it took at the moment.
Shadows get stronger layered on top of each other. The more we’ve been through, the more resourceful we can be, the more compassionate, but also the more avoidant. It’s not guaranteed that every lion will claim the same traits, but the potential is there.
The six of swords warns of another potential. It asks, what does it mean to stay the current course? The way you relate to time, planning, words, and your thoughts, is it left over from when you needed to be very brave? Like armor? This season, be very interested in mental courses that you’ve plotted in the past out of necessity.
Apply the loving touch of your awareness.
I’m not going to tell you to let go. You cannot let go of you. Why would you want to? Grit, charm, experience, enthusiasm, warmth, and realism. You need every tool you’ve ever grasped in your lifetime; every arrow lodged in the wood of your boat. And, you don’t need them all, all the time.
It’s up to you to identify what you need and when. No, you can’t let go. But, you can recognize yourself. You can touch yourself with the light of awareness:
- I’m avoiding that work because I think I need panic to be productive
- I’m pushing that person because I’m afraid they will abandon me if I don’t
- I’m talking to myself that way because I’m not sure what softness sounds like
- I’m offended because I’m not sure you’re wrong
Only stay the courses that you choose. To the rest say, “I see you there. You are me, also.” Touch the shadow until its hold on you fades.

Japaridze Tarot, U.S. Game, 2014
The Ace of Tides says there is inevitably more to pour forth from you, veiled and as yet unseen beyond your own heart. This is the possibility to fully open your awareness to love for the whole of yourself; it is spiritual healing by way of the emotions. You’re being asked to honor the Truth of your wholeness right now. The Truth that you are foundational to the healing taking place within yourself and the collective, and that you are flowing both in the direction of greater love just by being who you are. You may find this month’s circumstances pulling you toward inner reflection that reveals just how all-encompassing you are.
You’re being reminded, Virgo, that the (self)container that you’re always steady molding is meant to serve and hold all of you. The fortified and delicate, the blooming and unrevealed, even the poisonous you may seek to transform. Receive that every part of you can be grown to its most supportive expression, that it is safe to embrace your internal world in full. This is how you flourish; by honing inner awareness, nurturing all that you are, and offering all that is ready to be shared with the collective.
You are supported in this time by feeling into the cycles of your body, by grounding meditations where you intentionally and fluidly change forms (especially through shifting into beings that reside in nature, like this Queen of Gardens). Perhaps mostly though, through harnessing the supreme receptivity of this heart and soul opening. Your growth is rapid at this time, and something inside of you is pushing it forward without much need for your conscious guidance. You will come out on the other side understanding that you have clearer, yet more fluid, dimensions than you ever thought possible. Once you have accepted this unfolding: what do you need to honor your true emotional depth and your rapid expansion?
When I considered this sounds more like your opposite sign, Pisces, the message came through stronger and clearer: let it be. There may be times in this process where you attempt to shape your water’s movements, only to have it fall shapeless once again. Be curious about it, and find peace when its’ answers continue to morph. You’ve come to an emotional and spiritual opening that you’re not sure you’ll ever meet again. How do you feel moving toward the promise of being in your true element if you have to brave the veil? Let be the disorientation and offer thanks for the slippage of who you believed you were. You’re new, Virgo. And you’re the one meant to be moved by it first.

The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot, published in 1992 by Destiny Books.
What grand cosmic scheme or issue will be impacting Librans the most in Aquarius season?
Petro / La Place (Fire)
Libra, a crossroads arises that puts the sanctity of soul purpose in question. What are you living for? In Aquarius season, the boundaries between the sacred unseen and the mundane are defined with a clear, actionable path toward ultimate fulfillment. The presence of Petro / La Place indicates a swift induction into a commitment to a devotional merging ignited by providence, in other words, you have little choice but to respond to unfolding events with the quickness. You’ve got obligations of the greatest importance to attend to; get at it.
It is like the firmament has united with gravity all of a sudden, weighing heavy on your shoulders, and you either buckle or respond to the responsibility to sacrifice for something greater than yourself. This cosmic dictate requires mental dexterity, spiritual agility, and clear providential awareness. Petro / La Place is an advanced Voodoo student who is now given projects to complete by the Mambo/Houngan, including pertinent obligations like setting up the community’s place of worship before merging with the spirits.
The initial learning stage is over, and new responsibilities have been entrusted to you. Libran, you’ve been going through it in the past few years acquiring the knowledge necessary to have this cosmological breakthrough and now it’s time to apply your hard-earned otherworldly intelligence to something important. This is literal; you are performing duties to set the stage. This may require self-sacrifice, but this is where you are right now: the next level. Although it is not yet comfortable emotionally and the excitement may be throwing off confidence, get on with the duties you’re charged with. This test will be passed with flying colors if you don’t chicken out and multiple people will enjoy the spoils of your efforts.

The World | Death | The Devil
My hauntingly enchanting Scorpio,
2017 was a whirlwind to say the least. Now it’s time to fully shake that off and come back to your center. Make your mark on the world in all of your fierceness. Be unapologetically you in all of your extravagance! Be bold, live, and love with passion and ferocity. This Aquarius season, begin to think about how you can begin to make a larger impact and take a stronger stance in your community. Are you expressing your beliefs or suppressing your dreams?
As things may be changing around you from relationships, walking away from toxic people and environments, you are shedding the old wrinkled skin of apprehension and worry. Free yourself from the bondage that is your fear and anxiety. You are a showstopper this Aquarius season – so show them! Now is the time to come out of your shell in all of your glory. They, as well as you, may be shocked at what lies beneath the mask you’ve been wearing.
What invisible ties are binding you? What is keeping you small and hidden away? Burn those bridges, break those chains! Now is the time to live the life you’ve been waiting for Scorpio. Now is the time to make your mark on the world – the one you always felt you were meant to make, even when you had absolutely no direction, just faith. Realize how strong you are dear one. See all of the bondage of your life that you’re now free from! If you still are feeling suppressed energetically in some way, remember that the light that shines from within you is brighter than the darkness you perceive is in the world.
You have to be the one to make the change Scorp. You and only you. Be a master of your craft. Take control of your life back! It can be challenging changing your old default behaviors for higher vibrational and more loving ones. Spirit sees you trying and wants you to keep it up! Step into your wholeness, your fullness, the more you version of you than you have ever been before. Don’t be afraid to shine. Every time you make a decision to convert old paradigms into new ones, you add a new star to the constellation that is your life. A roadmap to your true self. Whenever you feel lost remember, just look up – you will find your way back home through the constellation of your life.
From my soul to yours,

The witches have sent a message to assist your Sagittarian spirit this month. The tarot cards that showed up are The Fool, Knight of Swords, and Six of Wands.
An important decision needs to be made this month. You’ve been hesitating mainly due to fear. A part of you is scared that you will make the wrong choice. Have faith that whatever you decide, it’s the right choice. It’s also time that you stop asking everyone what they think you should do. It’s only confusing you. Dig deep and listen to your intuition. The answer is inside of you if you choose to listen. Leaping into the unknown can be just the magick that you need to kick off a beautiful chain of adventures.
Look toward creating more balance in your life. Right now it looks like work is the priority. You may not even realize how much of a toll it’s taking on you. Between not loving your job and a boss you probably know way more than, you are over it. Make sure that all of that doesn’t affect how you approach life. Allowing frustration to take hold of you takes away from your happiness. It also zaps your energy. All you will want to do it sit on the couch or take a nap. Push yourself to live life to the fullest. There are so many opportunities waiting in the wings. Don’t let work get in the way.
You will finally gain recognition for all the hard work that you do. Don’t think it hasn’t been noticed. The universe has quietly been making moves on your behalf. The seeds that you’ve planted are about to bloom. You just may get an unexpected promotion. That always means more money is coming your way. This will be a huge relieve because you will be able to pay off bills and take a much-needed vacation.

Saturn, the much-maligned planet that rules the sign Capricorn, has recently entered its own sign. This happens every twenty-eight years. When a planet is in the sign it rules, the qualities and attributes of that planet are accentuated, especially for those born under its sign.
Saturn is the Lord of Karma, and as such is a strict but fair taskmaster. Its passage through its sign is a two and a half year “Master Class” in structure, discipline, hard work, karma, responsibility, and profitable manifestation. As Capricorns, what does this mean for us and how can we make the most of this experience this month?
For a clear, direct, unbiased answer, I consulted seventy-eight good friends– my Tarot cards. I laid the cards out using the “Chalice Spread” from my book, 101 Tarot Spreads. A chalice is a cup with a bowl that contains the life-supporting essence of what we need to provide our systems with and a stem that hopefully is strong enough to support the bowl and its ingredients. I was relieved, happy, and empowered by what I saw when I turned the cards over.
The bowl of this chalice spread is made up of two Saturn ruled cards– the Queen and King of Pentacles. Though the Saturn in Capricorn passage will often involve hard, mundane work, this strong, commanding, royal presence assures us that if we use this month to plan wisely and take appropriate, practical steps– we can make our hopes, wishes and dreams come true.
The stem or support card of this spread is the Six of Swords, indicating we’ll have powerful support from both the ethereal and mundane planes in coming up with and executing the profitable ideas we Capricorns love to work with. In addition to which, it reminds us that this is a time of increased opportunities, and to please be on the look-out for them.
For additional information, I pulled a bonus card that answered the question, “What’s in the chalice?” As you can see, Temperance, the card of luck, blessings, expansion, and Divine balance, is in the chalice.
This is the cherry on the sundae! It confirms that by using the best attributes of Capricorn– our natural abilities to think strategically, work constructively, embrace discipline, and accept responsibility–, we’ll be assisted by Divine Guidance in successfully finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
This is a time of great importance and a time of abundant opportunity. Throughout it all, a good reminder to keep in your mental toolkit is this quote by Shakespeare, “Though the seas threatened, they are merciful. I have cursed them without cause.”

The Renaissance Tarot by Jane Lyle and Helen Jones, Eddison Sadd Editions, 1998
Well my fellow Aquarius, we’ve made another trip around the Sun.
How do you feel about your journey? We’ve had a hell of a year, especially as an air sign. Logic flew out of the window in terms of political and social issues, only to be replaced by the F*cknut Follies. But we hunkered down, continued our efforts to convince Uncle Bubba (with small words and animated PowerPoint slides) that climate change is real and renewed our subscription to The Guardian.
The Ten of Pentacles – presented here as the Tree of Life – advises us that our birthday season is a great time to step back and take stock of the good in our lives, what our positive thoughts and – most importantly – actions have produced, no matter how big or small. We tend to think ourselves out of congratulating ourselves: resist the urge to do that, at least for this month (I know this is hard).
Judgement supports this. It says, “Hey, so what if Uncle Bubba still insists on wearing that ‘Drill Baby Drill’ t-shirt. You haven’t failed.” Remember, life is short and heads are hard: relax, let go for a bit, then regroup. Pluto, whose glyph is shown on the card, lends its gentle energy of change for this (Side note: Remember, Pluto is in Capricorn – the sign of tradition and the old guard. This signals change – albeit slow – on the political and societal fronts). Another thing, see those hearts fluttering up from the bottom? You may not think anyone’s listening to you blow your trumpet, but they are.
And finally, the Emperor appears to remind us to stand in our power. But, do it in an elegant fashion. No need for screaming or hollering. Be fair. Seek counsel if need be. And be royal enough to wrap your tough love in the cloak of mercy.
Even when Uncle Bubba dons that damned MAGA hat.

Morgan-Greer Tarot – U.S. Games 2012
(8 of Wands)
LOVERS | WORLD | TEMPERANCE
Time is filled with swift transition Naught of earth unmoved can stand, Build your hopes on things eternal, Hold to God’s unchanging hand
Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand,
by Mary Jane (Jennie) Wilson
This is a verse from an old Christian hymn. But, the wisdom therein does not require one to subscribe to any specific doctrine or dogma. It contains an axiom that transcends the container of religious practice and spiritual beliefs. It’s ever-present in nature. Besides, your life right now is all the evidence you need to rightly discern its truth. With that said, the song quoted above is the perfect mantra for you during February, Pisces.
Change is constant. Sometimes that change is welcome; a balm to stagnancy, a fresh wind. And other times change is the disruption that breaks us free from the comfort of inertia, the kind that we remain in because the possibility of failure is to great a risk.
But when staying the same is not an option, that forced choice can feel lose-lose. It can feel like you must sacrifice something either way you go because neither option aligns with what you think you want. Know this, though; the shortsightedness of binary thinking often blinds us to the bigger picture.
No matter how narrow the path before you, no matter the sacrifices you must inevitably make to get from where you are to your next destination; the bigger picture is that there is, in fact, a constant in the midst of change.
Should you so choose, you can replace God with “Mindful, Conscious Awareness,” “Spirit,” “Love,” or whatever reminds you of your central foundation. Identifying your constant in the midst of your life’s current changes is absolutely necessary for you to maintain emotional perspective, an emotional perspective that allows you to move intuitively rather than with overzealous, misdirected passion.
What grounds you, Pisces? What keeps you in your body, empowered to remain present with an agility of mind?
If you can ground yourself in whatever that is like a cornerstone for the coming month, then you will be preparing yourself for graduation. Yes! This change and the choices before you are here to help you recognize that you’ve gone as far as you can go on this part of the journey. The road splits here. Thus, you’ve reached the end of the line.
Hold on to that unchanging hand. Let it guide you. Let it provide you solace and comfort with the knowledge that your path forward is tethered to a constant that remains unchanging no matter the changes and choices that time brings.
